What months are the Clubs active?
Fun with Faith Clubs follow the standard school year calendar. Meetings are held
every other week, November through May, for a total of 12 meetings.
Are the Clubs evangelistic?
Yes. We realize children of all religious and non-religious backgrounds attend elementary
schools of our nation. The Fun with Faith Clubs are founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ
and we believe that in order to teach children to apply Gods Word in their lives,
they must first come into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The Gospel
message is proclaimed in every curricula and many children come to receive Christ. Yet we
also believe that our responsibility is to sow the seeds of truth in these children and
that the Lord will cause them to grow when He wills. Not all children come into the Clubs
as Christians, and not all leave our Clubs having received Christ. For more detailed
information about the spiritual foundation of the Fun with Faith Clubs, Inc. see our Statement of Faith.
How do leaders become involved?
Interested parents attend an Interest
Meeting offered by the Fun with Faith Clubs to receive detailed information
about leadership and the curricula. We ask them to pray for Gods
leading, and if they feel called to lead a Club they fill out a Leader
Application which gives them an opportunity to give their Christian
testimony and understand the leadership requirements.
Where are Interest Meetings held?
The ministry has dedicated volunteers serving as Area Coordinators. These volunteers share
all you need to know about becoming involved in the Fun with Faith Clubs. To find out how
to contact an Area Coordinator in your location call the ministry headquarters at
1-800-581-4919 or e-mail at
info@funwithfaith.com.
How much does it cost for children to
join the Fun with Faith Clubs?
Dues are $40 per child. Each child receives a high quality T-Shirt to wear to school
on meeting days and other materials associated with their particular curriculum. Fourth
graders receive a copy of the New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs, and 5th and 6th
graders receive NIV Bibles. Other curriculum materials include workbooks and activity
sheets.
Do you offer scholarships?
The Fun with Faith Clubs offers full and partial scholarships to any child who
cannot afford the dues. The parent simply fills out a scholarship form and their payment
is waived.
Does it cost anything to be a Club
leader?
Curriculum materials are provided to Club leaders in Club Kits. A $25 deposit is collected
for each Club kit and is refunded at the end of the year when the appropriate materials
are returned to the ministry. The leader does not pay dues for their child but uses that
$40 allowance to conduct their Club. Many leaders are able to run a Club on that
allowance, but others want to invest more for special activities they wish to offer.
Anything above the $40 allowance is the Club leaders responsibility.
How do I know the
Club curricula are Biblically sound?
Each and every lesson taught in the Fun with Faith Clubs has been reviewed and
approved by an interdenominational Advisory Committee. Because we do not want to bring any
denominational slant into the Fun with Faith Clubs, there are no references to points that
may cause denominations to differ, such as the sacraments of Holy Communion or Baptism. We
simply strive to teach the Bible as the Word of God and to guide the students to apply it
in their own lives. For more detailed information about the spiritual foundation of
the Fun with Faith Clubs, Inc. see our Statement of Faith.
What has been the impact on the families
of the children?
It is amazing what the Lord can do through one Club leader devoted to the
children and their families. Through association with our Club leaders and their churches,
many of our Club members parents have received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord
and Savior. We have had incidents of whole families being baptized together, and we
encourage our Club leaders to reach out to the families of the children with the Gospel.
Isnt it illegal for religious
groups to meet on public school property?
Recent years have brought laws that are favorable towards religious groups in
public settings. However because of past practices, there is much confusion about what is
allowed. The Supreme Court of the United States recently upheld an Appellate Court ruling
that stated in essence that if public schools were going to allow any student groups, they
could not discriminate based on content of the group. In short, if a school has an
"open campus" then any and all groups must be allowed to meet. If a school
adopts a "closed campus" then no student groups may meet.
Will the ministry help me get my Club
started?
The Fun with Faith Clubs is dedicated to serving our Club leaders in whatever way
is necessary. We provide extensive training and crucial prayer support to each and every
Club leader. We believe that our ministry is to uphold the Club leaders, and the Club
leaders ministry is to teach the children. We are devoted to supporting our Club
leaders through all situations.
